Meet Dare Rose
Oludare Anthony Damilola Akinsanya Rose aka 'Dare" Rose, was born in NYC in 2002. Dare learned to swim as a toddler at the YMCA in Phoenix, AZ. Later, he attended Packer Collegiate Institute in Brooklyn and swam for Scarlet Aquatics in Jersey City under coach Mohamed Abdelaal. Dare is the Packer Collegiate Institute record holder in multiple events, including 50 free, 100 free, 100 fly & 200 IM. He also held USA Swimming’s National Age Group record in the 200-meter free (13-14 age group), set in 2017.
Dare comes from a supportive family with a diverse cultural background including African-American and Nigerian heritage. He has two siblings, Che and Jordana. And two Havapoos, Cookie and Apricot. He is currently an athlete partner for several brands including P2Life and SwimOutlet.com.
Currently, Dare trains and competes in the NCAA at UC Berkeley. He has represented the United States at World Championships and medaled in the 100m Butterfly (Bronze) and 4x100m Medley Relay (Gold) in Fukuoka, Japan.
